Historic Oak View County Park offers special month long events in June, November and December as well as a summertime free lunch program. Learn more below:

Juneteenth Celebration

Join staff at Historic Oak View County Park throughout the month of June for special programs and events honoring Juneteenth.

Summer Food at Oak View

Historic Oak View is a host site for the Summer Food free lunch program! In partnership with the Wake County School System, free lunches will be provided to children under 18, Monday through Friday at the park's Bluebird Shelter. 

Pecan Pickin' Month

From November 1–30, Monday–Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday, 1–5 p.m., stop by the Farm History Center to pick up a small brown bag (one per family) and then head for the grove to collect pecans lying on the ground.

Christmas at Historic Oak View

Join us for a Christmas at Historic Oak View: 1850–1950 holiday tour! These free guided tours begin December 4 and run through December 22 and are available for organized groups and the general public. Registration is required.
