The Board of Commissioners sets the County’s property tax rate, regulates land use and zoning outside municipal jurisdictions, and adopts the annual budget. 2024 State of the County Address
During the 2024 State of the County Address on Oct. 1, Wake County Board of Commissioners Chair Shinica Thomas celebrated the progress the county has made this year and highlighted future projects that will support and serve our nearly 1.2 million residents. The theme of the event was “Growing Together.”
