The Wake County Human Resources department assists the County in establishing and maintaining a work environment that enables employees to efficiently provide services to citizens. The department is responsible for strategizing, coordinating and overseeing the County's comprehensive human resources program. This involves collaborating with leadership to attract and retain a talented and diverse workforce; fostering positive relationships among employees; conducting training to improve skills, performance and job satisfaction; maintaining efficient HR systems; implementing programs to enhance organizational effectiveness; developing and delivering competitive benefit, wellness and compensation initiatives; and managing payroll services for Wake County employees.
