Step Out Against Child Abuse Walk
Saturday, April 27, at 10 a.m.
Grab your family and friends to help us close out Child Abuse Prevention Month with a one-mile walk around one of Wake County’s many parks and preserves. We'll also be celebrating the Year of the Trail and sharing the Five Protective Factors to create a culture of awareness and support.

Wake County Child Welfare provides services and support to prevent and reduce child abuse and neglect in our community.

Family Support Services
Family Support Services provides ongoing support, resources, service coordination and group/community education for families. Committed to a family-centered service model, Family Support Services works with families to help with skill development, decision making and problem solving. The program serves individuals and groups in a timely, flexible and creative manner.
Father Engagement Services
The Father Engagement Services program provides prevention, intervention and advocacy for fathers working toward reunification and/or family preservation. Services address family stability, safety, co-parenting and self-sufficiency so that families continue to grow and develop.
Parent Education Services
The Parent Education Services program works to create safe and stable homes by strengthening families, promoting healthy child development and reducing the likelihood of child abuse and neglect.
