How old do I have to be in order to register and vote in Wake County?
To be eligible to vote in NC, you must be 18 years old as of the date of the election. 17 year olds may vote in a primary if they will turn 18 by the date of the general election.

College students are permitted by state law to register to vote at either their local address or their family's home address. You must vote in the county where you are registered, however, so be sure to use this chart to determine your voting options.
