Wake County libraries celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with special programs

Hispanic Heritage Month display with books

Join Wake County Public Libraries now through Oct. 15 to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with more than 25 special events at locations across the county. From music and movies to cooking and crafting, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

“This is a great opportunity to recognize the rich culture and incredible accomplishments of Hispanic Americans in our community and beyond,” said Shinica Thomas, chair, Wake County Board of Commissioners. “We encourage everyone to learn about and reflect on the vibrant heritage that strengthens the diversity of Wake County."

In addition to engaging and educational programs, libraries have also created special Hispanic Heritage Month displays featuring books by Hispanic authors.
