Residents in Southern Wake County will soon have easier access to medical care and health resources when the Southern Regional Center reopens the doors to its health clinic on Monday, March 4.
The clinic, located at 130 N. Judd Parkway in Fuquay-Varina, has not been fully operational since prior to the pandemic and has not seen patients in more than a year. Now, after renovations to the space, services will soon be available to residents who live or work in South Raleigh, Apex, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs and Willow Springs.
“We are excited for this newly improved clinic to reopen, bringing vital medical services and healthcare options closer to home for residents in the southern parts of our county,” said Wake County Commissioner Cheryl Stallings. “Our regional centers serve as invaluable one-stop destinations for our community's diverse needs, eliminating the inconvenience of traveling to Raleigh for essential services."
Services offered for patients include:
- Prenatal care
- Pediatrics (birth-20 years old)
- Family planning and birth control
- Immunizations
- HIV/STD testing and treatment
The clinic accepts Medicaid and most insurances. Bilingual staff are available. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
Residents can make an appointment by calling 919-557-2501.
"We've been eagerly anticipating the moment when we can welcome our community back through the doors of our clinic," said Wake County Southern Regional Center Director Richie Hayner. "This milestone marks the final puzzle piece to fully restore operations at our center, ensuring comprehensive and accessible healthcare for all."
