About This Event

Wake County, Alliance Health, Recovery Innovations and other community partners are joining together on World Suicide Prevention Day, Tuesday, Sept. 10, to host a free, community-wide event to raise awareness about suicide prevention. The theme of the event is An Invitation to Action: We Can All Be Suicide Preventionists, and the purpose is to highlight specific local opportunities and resources for all community members to be involved in suicide awareness, prevention, and intervention.

Tragedy doesn't always happen to someone else, but even if it did, would you help if you could? Moving America’s Soul on Suicide shares remarkable stories of triumph over trauma, pain, and mental health challenges. The film considers what leads a person to dark places, but more importantly, how to help
