Lake Crabtree offers major events in a festival format centered around a nature, history or recreational topic. These large one-day events usually occur in the spring or fall. Learn more about the special events below. Lake Crabtree also hosts an annual Big Sweep lakeside cleanup event!

2024 Creepy Crabtree

Prepare to embark on a spine-tingling journey through the eerie depths of Lake Crabtree County Park, where the secrets of the wild world's bones and guts come to life in the most ghoulishly entertaining way. Creepy Crabtree, our hauntingly fun event, is designed to thrill and educate young adventurers about the marvels of the natural world, right down to its core.

Creepy Crabtree is a family-friendly event suitable for kids of all ages. It's a unique opportunity to combine Halloween thrills with hands-on learning about the natural world's spookiest aspects.

Costumes are encouraged!

Registration is encouraged, but walk-ups will be welcome!

2025 Lake Crabtree Pollinator Festival

10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Lake Crabtree is excited to host the annual Pollinator Festival, in honor of National Pollinator Week! This event is FREE and features games, crafts and opportunities to learn from local environmental experts. Also, there will be two tasty food trucks to enjoy while you learn and have fun. Show up any time during the window from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Fun for all ages!
