Fun is around every corner at Songbird Celebration.

Blue Jay Point County Park offers major events in a festival format centered around a nature, history or recreational topic. These large one-day events usually occur in the spring or fall. Learn more about the special events below.

Big Sweep Lakeside Cleanup (Oct. 5, 2024)

Big Sweep is held at Blue Jay Point on the first Saturday in October annually.

Saturday, October, 5
9 a.m.–noon

Join ranks to help clean up the Falls Lake shoreline around Blue Jay Point. All volunteers must be ages 8 and up. Volunteers under age 16 must come with a participating supervisory adult or parent/guardian. This is an excellent opportunity to provide a great community service – preregistration is required.

Night Owls & Candle Magic (Nov. 23, 2024)

Luminaries on trail

Bring the night owls in your family to experience the magic of a stroll along our luminaria-lined trail as you learn about the late fall seasonal activities of local owls. Sip hot cocoa by the glow of a campfire, get crafty with some lantern-lit projects and participate in other fun activities.
